Thursday, May 4

Boxed Lunch with Exhibitors

All registered attendees are invited to enjoy a Box Lunch in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, May 4, and Friday, May 5 at 12:00 pm. Grab your lunch and see what new and exciting products the exhibitors are offering in 2017. One complimentary ticket for each day will be issued with your badge onsite. Additional lunches may be purchased for $10 each.

Women’s Luncheon

Female Physicians and the Future of Endocrinology presented by Dr. Ann Danoff
This inspiring luncheon will be held on Thursday, May 4 at 12:30 pm and will feature a special presentation by Ann Danoff, MD, Past President of APDEM and Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Pennsylvania. Please sign up to attend the luncheon on your Annual Meeting registration. To select, search by “optional meals and events”.

Chapter Receptions

Nearly every AACE domestic member is represented by an active and thriving state or regional Chapter. The annual Chapter receptions are the perfect opportunity to meet, network and interact on a personal basis with peers and colleagues from your local area. Chapter receptions will take place at the JW Marriott Austin at 6:00 pm. Specific locations will be listed in the on-site program and on signage located inside the hotel.

International Reception

On behalf of AACE’s International Subcommittee Chair, Myriam Z. Allende-Vigo, MD, MBA, FACP, FACE, invites all international attendees to a reception at the JW Marriott Austin on Thursday, May 4 at 6:00 pm for an evening of food and fellowship to celebrate AACE surpassing 2,000 international members. In addition to the festivities, there will be updates and discussion of ongoing plans for international membership.

The FIT Luncheon is complimentary for fellows, but registration is requested. Please add a ticket to your Annual Meeting registration by searching FIT Luncheon in the Program Selections menu.

Fun Run

Due to budget constraints, the EmPower Fun Run 5k will not take place this year in Austin. We hope to coordinate funding to reinstate the run in 2018 in Boston. We appreciate your continued support of the AACE EmPower program.

If you're looking to get in a run, there is a Hike-and-Bike Trail located a few blocks away at Lady Bird Lake. More information on the boardwalk and trail can be found here.

Inaugural American College of Endocrinology Breakfast with the Experts

Participate in roundtable discussion with endocrinology experts in the areas of bone, reproduction diabetes, obesity and more during a breakfast on Saturday, May 6 at 6:30 am. at the Austin Convention Center. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Register today by searching “breakfast” in the Program Selections menu at am.aace.com/registration.

AACE Annual Business Meeting Luncheon

All AACE member registered attendees are invited to attend the Annual Business Meeting Luncheon on Saturday, May 6 from 12:30 pm – 2:15 pm. The Business Meeting Luncheon will include the announcement of the 2017 election results, installation of Jonathan D. Leffert, MD, FACE, ECNU as AACE President, relevant committee reports and other business to come before the membership. The Business Luncheon will be at the Austin Convention Center. There is no additional charge for this event; however, tickets are required to guarantee seating. Please see the registration form to make your reservations. This function is open only to AACE members.

President’s Gala

AACE attendees and their guest(s) are invited to enjoy an evening of family fun at the President’s Gala on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 PM. The gala will have music and entertainment for every generation, libations and a variety of food stations to please every palate, including our young attendees. Tickets are $35 and should be purchased in advance. Please see the online registration form to purchase tickets. The President’s Gala will be held at the JW Marriott Austin.
