Laurence Katznelson, MD received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, performed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and then a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Dr. Katznelson is a Professor of Neurosurgery and Medicine (Endocrinology) at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he is the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education and Medical Director of the Pituitary Center. He has served as Chair of the Task Forces for writing clinical guidelines for the approach to acromegaly for both The Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and Chair, Pituitary Committee for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Katznelson received the Laureate Award for Educator of the Year in the Endocrine Society and the H. Jack Baskin, MD, Endocrine Teaching Award for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
