Dr. Jad Sfeir is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He obtained his B.S. and medical degrees from the American University of Beirut. He completed internal medicine residency at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA and then joined Mayo Clinic where he completed an endocrinology fellowship. His research focus is studying the effects of aging on bone and mechanisms of targeting cell senescence to prevent age-related bone loss. He is the recipient of multiple awards including most recently the Randall G. Sprague Award for excellence in endocrinology fellowship in April 2018 and the Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research in September 2018.

Jonathan Leffert, MD

Jonathan Leffert MD is a clinical endocrinologist in Dallas TX and is the Managing Partner of the North Texas Endocrine Center in Dallas TX. He has been in private practice for the last 27 years and has a general endocrine outpatient practice with an emphasis on thyroid disease, bone and mineral metabolism. Dr. Leffert is the immediate past president of AACE and has been involved in advocacy both at the legislative and regulatory areas. In addition, he is the AACE Delegate to the AMA, the AACE liasion to the ACP- Council of Subspecialities and a member of the subpecialty board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism for the ABIM. Dr. Leffert graduated from Brown University and the Univiersity of Minnesota Medical School. He trained at Parkland Hospital/UT Southwestern for internal medicine and did his endocrine fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. During his fellowship, he cloned the cDNA for rat amylin, investigated the physiology of the amylin, and competed successfully for the NIH Physician Scientist award.
