Associate Professor of Internal Medicine- Mineral Metabolism
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Dr. Naim Maalouf is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Maalouf completed his Medical Degree at the American University of Beirut, then Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University, and a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where stayed on Faculty in the Pak Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research. Dr. Maalouf's clinical and research interests include disorders of calcium, nephrolithiasis, and mineral and bone metabolism. His research is funded by the NIH, and he has published over 80 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Sloan is triple board certified in Endocrinology, Nephrology, and Internal Medicine; and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American College of Physician. Currently he is President of the Texas Institute for Kidney and Endocrine Disorders and is Medical Director of the J.C. Polk Education Center and SNG Lufkin Dialysis. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.
