Thyroid Ultrasound Skills Training Workshop

Thursday, April 23 | 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM | Forum 132-133

This hands-on workshop enhances learner skills to:

  • Describe the components, indications and limitations of a comprehensive neck ultrasound exam focusing on the thyroid gland/nodules, parathyroid glands/adenomas and cervical lymph nodes
  • Review techniques for image optimization and interpret neck ultrasound findings
  • Identify what supplies are required to perform fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), and demonstrate the use of perpendicular and parallel needle approaches while discussing practical tips for successful FNAB

Attendees will be able to receive the AACE Thyroid Ultrasound Certificate by completing this hands-on workshop and the didactic, online course (registration separate). Signing up for both parts is not required.

*Qualifies for CME/CE/MOC Credit (3 credit hours).

  • Describe the role of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), connected pens, and insulin pumps in diabetes management
  • Identify the supplies required for each type of diabetes technology
  • Discuss the differences between devices to recommend the best technologies for each patient
  • Communicate benefits of diabetes technology to patients and caregivers

Attendees will be able to receive the AACE Diabetes Technology Certificate by completing this hands-on workshop and the didactic, online course (registration separate). Signing up for both parts is not required.
